Marine wildlife tourism is one of the fastest growing tourism industries in the Philippines and worldwide. Increasingly unregulated and poorly managed tourism practices are fast becoming a threat to both the environment and the animals engaged in this endeavor. “THEIR FUTURE IS OUR FUTURE” aims to create better-educated tourists and to promote more responsible engagement with wildlife in marine tourism. This film is part of an online campaign in support of the endorsement by the Philippines Government of a unified Marine Wildlife Tourism Interaction Guidelines and an awareness and engagement campaign for the local communities in all the wildlife watching sites in the country. The film shows how we all have the power to protect by adhering to essential marine wildlife tourism guidelines. Guidelines are delivered by local communities at the heart of marine wildlife tourism in the Philippines, each of whom benefits from working with iconic marine species. By protecting species, we can also protect livelihoods. People create change and mindful marine tourists will be key in protecting our oceans in the future. We all have the #PowerToProtectPH
