Our relationships become deeper and more meaningful when "goodbye" is recognized for what it is - an inevitable truth of genuine love. Now, with greater care - I love.

Beautiful depiction of the actual emotions and reactions that take place.

Thank you, Kitty. Having this chance to show people how real love is tough, has been such an honor and I appreciate such kind words from you. I'm a fan of my sister's (writer/director/producer) ideas, but when she proposed this idea to me and then my daughter, it was otherworldly how easy it was "giving" what is normally hidden. Intimacy and love are necessary for a real connection in any relationship. But, none so sweet as my relationship with my daughter. She is a gift from God and also a real pain in my ass, sometimes. But as you saw, that's the good stuff.

What a truly genuine exchange between father and daughter! They pull you in, and you are right there with them in their world. It immediately ceases to be acting! The playful interaction is precious. The expressions on Dad's face are a canvas of deep, heart wrenching love and longing for his daughter. The background music is subtle to frame this piece without being overpowering. I love the way this piece ends....almost symbolic with the empty black chair....a black hole...a deep chasm unfulfilled in Dad's aching heart. Whether intended or not, I loved the whimsical clothing Dad wore. It provided a subtle touch of comedic relief in the midst of a sober piece, in such a creative and balanced execution. Pure, clever genius on the part of the director! I truly appreciate that Miss Andrea Snider vulnerably shares a piece of her, her soul in this film short...it is strongly woven through this piece. That's powerful directing in my opinion, when you are watching a film and see the heart of a director flowing through the piece at the same time....something I had never thought about until writing this review! I look forward to seeing more work by this film maker who is beyond talented and talented beyond her years! I also still appreciate a piece "Visible" which she produced. It left an indelible mark on my heart, reminding me daily to choose to be visible! I expect great things from this young lady in the future!
