Happy Thanksgiving is a classic comedic tale of truth, love, acceptance, and family where a dysfunctional family decides to meet up for Thanksgiving for the first time in 5 years. This clip from one of the more emotional scenes is particularly near my heart because this was a conversation I have wanted to have with my mother for a long time. I was able to express how I've felt through Ella's character, which is something that occurs throughout the film with everyone she interacts with.
