Women In Film & Chloe Wine Collection Spotlight Female Filmmakers

Women In Film, in partnership with Chloe Wine Collection, seeks to recognize and reward five female filmmakers who are putting women at the center of the story.

The Challenge: Female writers/directors are encouraged to submit a 2-minute short film or a 2-minute excerpt of a feature film that puts women at the center of the story, for a chance to win professional mentorship and a $10,000 cash prize.

Winemakers and filmmakers are both passionate craftspeople working in industries that are challenged by gender disparity. As a wine brand developed by an award-winning female winemaker, Chloe Wine Collection strives to inspire and effect change in both industries.  

HOW THE WINNERS ARE DETERMINED:  The contest is hosted in two rounds. From the first round of accepted entries, the top 10 film submissions with the most votes and the top 10 preliminary jury-selected entries will advance to the finals round. From the finalists, actress Kate Bosworth, along with a jury panel comprising representatives from Women In Film and Chloe Wine Collection, will select the top 5 film submissions. One film will be selected as the Overall Winner and the additional four films will receive Honorable Mentions.

Entries will be evaluated based on the following judging criteria:
* Creativity (45%)
* Technical Merit (30%)
* Adherence to the Assignment (25%)

PRIZE DESCRIPTION

1st Place Jury Award: $10,000 and 1-2 sessions with a Women In Film mentor

4 Honorable Mentions: 1-2 sessions with a Women In Film mentor
