'The Right Shoes' is 4th in a series of short films entitled 'The Red Bucket'. All four films are linked only by the presence of a red bucket, however, 'The Right Shoes' is the only one that promotes . . . a powerful message, one of gender equality. As the parent of a 12 year old girl, I see how pre adolescent confidence is equally bold and fragile and is something to be protected and nurtured. Women and girls often face gender-based discrimination that puts them at increased risk of poverty, violence, ill health and a poor education. Gender inequality is a global concern and finding solutions needs to be embraced by leaders of industry. If we strive to give our daughters the right tools, there is every hope they will succeed show more
