STAND BY was made by me, an iPhone, and a tripod on May 21, 2020. Alongside swells of emotional insanity and numbness, this film thwarted every idea I had to make a movie about feelings. Happy it stood by me while I try to remember how love feels. Thank you to my brother for letting me use his empty living room. Thank you to my mom and dad for letting me borrow their tripod. Thank you to Augusta, GA sunshine. And thank you to the space between fingerprints, the past and future, and all the in-between spaces we live and breath and come alive inside.
