Six people are represented by a different color in this complex drama about love, loss, and meaning. The included clip is our Indiegogo fundraising pitch. About a year ago I had a visual of a elderly woman, possibly demented, attempting to escape her room. I thought it might make for an entertaining five minute short film but then I started piecing together what her daughter-in-law might be like. And then I pictured her daughter. And before I knew it I had constructed a mini-universe around this tiny story. It already demanded a larger narrative. With some help of my girlfriend and roommate–both brilliant collaborators–I created the script that we have today: that of PRISM. Each character, now represented by a separate color, is now tangled in a web of missed opportunities and connections and, I guess to an extent, life itself. I've made some big projects before, most notably last year's mockumentary Billie Bob Joe, which we got into some film festivals around the country, but with this film I've decided to push myself artistically and dramatically further than I've ever attempted.
