Grandparents hold a special place near and dear in our hearts. Cherish them and shower them with love, kindness and respect. Sometimes, we forget these incredible humans won't be around forever - treat each day like the invaluable treasures they are.
At the young age of 9, I told my Grandma,
"I’m going to call you “Grammy, instead of Grandma,
I like how it sounds, what do you think?”
Her eyes twinkled, “I like it!"
She smiled and questioned, “Did you know that there are awards named, 'The Grammy’s?'"
I asked in amazement, “Wow! Really?"
Animated with delight I explained, “Then you are MY Trophy, Grammy."
