I moved out to Los Angeles for film school in 2014. I came in as an underdog and my peers always identified me as such - regardless of how much I proved myself. As an extremely happy person, I was surrounded by endless amounts of negativity every single day - and it took its toll. I distanced myself, with the price of becoming depressed and lonely, but with the gift of learning how to depend on myself to create in a positive and imaginative environment. The city of Los Angeles still had me feeling down and without connection and foundation - so I moved back home, realizing I could create whatever I wanted from wherever and still feel fulfilled around the people I love.
