KODAK SUPER 8 FILMMAKING CHALLENGE
“Collective Reel” (14 min, 2014) is a collaborative scratch super8 film produced by the 43 participants of the Cine Nights series of experimental ‘defacing super8’ workshops held during November-December 2014 in Hastings and St Leonards, and facilitated by Mauricio Vincenzi and Fancesca Daisy-Hill. This film had a smashing premiere held at The Old Chemist, and was the highlight of a non-stop 12hr durational event of eclectic celluloid projections and sonic explorations (the now infamous 3til3 event), where a 10 strong group of improv musicians played live, led by Otti Albeitz and Darren Morris, responding to the first ever screening of the finished film produced during the workshops.
