My name is Ben Anderson and I wrote and directed this along with Sawyer Purman. I am always writing tons of scifi, and absolutely love everything about the genre. Blink is the beginning of a much longer story, which revolves around a second mission into the storm on Jupiter's suface. One that could be a rescue mission, or an investigation, but one that draws the commander back to the storm to try and come to terms with the decision that cost him his wife and the crew. The question becomes is the crew alive? Was the message from her, or from the past? Or is the origin of the signal something more sinister... This was our first short film outside of school, and we made a lot of mistakes. The story can get lost, and I overestimated my CGI abilities (I learned all the 3d modeling stuff and made everything myself using Blender and After Effects). And I know that we could refine this to tell other stories in a much cleaner way. I don't know if this is the place to say it, but I have to say that I love scifi, and this opportunity would mean the world to me. I have a number of shorts fully written, as well as a few feature scripts that I think could be done for the budget that this contest would allot me. It's my dream to be a writer/director of great scifi, and if given the opportunity I know we could make something special! On behalf of the cast and crew thank you for giving us this opportunity! Ben
