I wrote this, shot it with help from my partner (& dog), & edited it. I know Covid-19's no blessing, but after adjusting to it, going back to reality is frightening, too. This is a tone poem about isolation as insulation, pandemic as protection. My current shelter-at-home existence, closed off from the reality of destruction both occurring and looming, is (largely) idyllic, even as a dreadful undercurrent flows through it.
