As the writer and director of the powerful film Abhita, I had the opportunity to bring this important story to life. The film focuses on a 13-year-old girl dealing with the hardships of bullying and t. . . the life-changing decision she makes as a result. I wanted to shine a light on the emotional toll bullying can have, especially on young people. I'm incredibly proud of how the cast and crew came together to tell this story authentically, and I truly believe it can inspire meaningful conversations. The lead actress that I chose was also someone who was getting bullied in real life. I wanted the main role to really be authentic.
