In 2015, the Wellington (New Zealand) Film Office evolved into Screen Wellington to reflect the changing landscape of the film industry. 'Screen' has come to mean so much more than just film, and the talent pool working in Wellington has become so much more diverse and capable. Along with pre, post, special effects and production expertise, the Wellington region has specialist capability in website and digital design, gaming, app and software development. We wanted a brand identity that would help us promote the capability within Wellington and attract screen investment, business and talent to the region from around the world. The Screen Wellington identity reflects this. With not just one mark, but a device that moves fluidly between formats; be they cinemascope or the latest smartphone screens.
