KINEMA AWARD - Film Commission Chile
The Kinêma Award is presented under the Sanfic Film Festival, Santiago International Film Festival, and rewards the audiovisual productions that highlights and promotes the potential of Chile as a film location. Kinêma is a recognition of those films that allow to show our landscape, cultural and human heritage, and through it, become important vehicles for economic, cultural, creative and experiential exchange on an artistic level. The design of the trophy and the name "Kinema" is based on the basic concept that gives life and separates the film from photograph, "the movement" (kine), which is expressed in the image of Chile, swiveling from a flat image to a volume. The trophy is inspired by the shape of a lens, which is reached through the silhouette of Chile in revolution, shifted its axis. A simple movement that gives rise to an object.
