The Challenge:

Ronald Reagan said, “Peace is not absence of conflict. It is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means.”

We’d like you to show the world how. 

Google “debate” and the first thing that comes up is a Wikipedia definition: “Debate is contention in argument; strife, dissension, quarreling, controversy...”

Our country’s leaders gain their authority by engaging in debate. Strife. Dissension. The citizens of our country generally follow suit.

But what if we stopped debating? What if we actually listened to each other, suspended our assumptions? What if we get our facts straight first and then start a dialogue? We think it’s a great place to start. The Undebate.us mission is to bring people from different viewpoints together.

Create a video, three-minute or less, that illustrates "Undebate" solutions applied to the problems our society faces today. Help demonstrate that what unites us is stronger than what divides us. You can submit up to 2 videos.

Share a personal story about finding common ground with someone who has opposite views.
Create a story that illustrates the Undebate.us movement and its potential for helping create real change.
