Spora Health, a virtual first primary care system built for people of color, has launched Spora Mommas, a digital experience to make the maternal journey better for Black people and to center their joy.

In America, Being Black is bad for your health, especially if you are a Black woman. Especially if you are a pregnant Black woman. It is a known fact that Black mothers die at a rate of 2.4 to 3.3 times that of white mothers, and even worse is that more than 60% of maternal mortality is preventable. We can no longer abide by this and have designed a product to address the health inequities in birthing to save lives.

Call to Action
Spora Health invites you to apply to create a 1- 2-minute social media video that showcases our new product, Spora Mommas. We will use this video to go to market, connect with our audience, raise awareness for our offering, and influence consideration to join.

How it Works
Pitches are juried by the Spora Health team. One pitch will be greenlit/chosen. You will receive $800 via Paypal after the video is approved and turned in to Spora Health and uploaded to your AudPop profile.

• Answer a few questions about who you are and the idea that you have for this video. 
• Create, upload, and submit a quick video about why you want this job / why you are the right person for the job (because we all want to know who we are hiring and working with).

If hired, here is the video requirements/information to know to create the right video for the client:

Your completed video will be due by November 23, 2021 and you will receive $800 for the completed project via PayPal.

Spora Mommas will empower people to do some of the following (and much more):

• Create a birth plan that works for you with the help of a doula

• Advocate for your desired medical care during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum.

• Know what questions to ask your medical providers throughout your maternal journey

• Build friendships and a community with other Spora Momma

The video should be joyful and hopeful. This topic gets so heavy and our audience doesn’t need to be educated on why things are the way they are. We need to communicate that we have a solution that will support them. Your video should grab attention and get people curious while emotionally connecting to folx.

Target Audience of the videos
Any woman who presents Black, Age 20-40 ideally in or entering their first trimester

What is the one thing you want people to take away or do after viewing the content?
We have taken a researched and decolonized approach to create all-in-one maternal journey support for Black birthing bodies to empower them to more confidently navigate everything from pregnancy through early parenthood and to center their joy.

Depending on what the video says, the videographer will need to include one of these disclaimers (TBD with the client):

• Spora Mommas is a supplemental component in your maternal journey and is not a replacement for an obstetrician or midwife, prenatal care, or routine medical care. 
• The role of the doula is to virtually support you leading up to your delivery.  They will not be present with you through labor and delivery.
