How It Works: Filmmakers have from Earth Day, April 22, 2021 to July 5, 2021 to create and submit their film. Submissions are judged for admittance into the film challenge before jury review begins. Films are initially screened and films that score a 1 will not be allowed to compete in the film challenge. Accepted entries will compete in the film challenge.

5 films selected by the Pattrn and AudPop jury will advance to the finals round.

From these top 5 finalist films, a jury panel made up of industry leaders will award a Grand Prize winner, a runner-up, and three additional honorable mentions.

Film submissions are evaluated based on the following judging criteria:

• Creativity
• Technical merit
• Committed to the topic of climate change/sustainability

Prizes for the Winners: 

Grand Prize: $10,000 

First runner-up: $3,500

3 additional honorable mentions: $1,000 each 

The top films will receive exposure on The Weather Channel, the Pattrn streaming channel and may screen at environmental conferences and film festivals. We seek to activate your films.

Winners will be announced on or around August 12, 2021.
