If you’ve made a film, 45 minutes or under, which shows the many iterations of identity, we invite you to enter AudPop's 2022 Pride Film Challenge.
HOW THIS CHALLENGE WORKS: Once you successfully upload and submit your film to this challenge on our site, your film is reviewed by our screeners for admittance. You will receive notice if your film is accepted or rejected before jury and audience voting opens
The Mission of the AudPop 2022 Pride Film Challenge:
- To accelerate the careers of LGBTQ+ filmmakers
- Change people’s heart
- The creation of numerous short films that have the potential to go viral
- Stream the films across eyeball driven platforms
The films will be juried by an industry panel and up to 5 films are deemed the finalists films. The global audience will vote on the finalist films for the Audience Award. The winning films will premiere during AudFest 2022.
Awards will be announced for
- Best Film: Grand Prize Jury Award
- 2nd Place: Jury Award
- Honorable Mention: Jury Award
- Audience Award: (Voted on during AudFest 2022)
Entries will be evaluated based on the following judging criteria:
- Creativity (45%)
- Technical Merit (30%)
- Adherence to the Assignment (25%)
Grand Prize Jury Award: $300 + premium status*
2nd Place Jury Award: $150 + premium status
Honorable Mention: $50 + premium status
Audience Award determined at AudFest. Prizes TBD.
*Having AudPop premium status marks you as a premium filmmaker/creator. AudPop reaches out to our premium and pro filmmakers and creators when there are brand jobs and entertainment opportunities for our top talent.
The finalist films in this challenge may be used across additional multiple distribution channels.
Your film may have been previously screened and distributed.
Your film will be publicly viewed, so make sure it’s the right time for your film to gain an online audience. If it's too early for the public to watch your short film online, we invite you to come back next year and submit.
If you want your friends and family to vote for your film, share away. Audience voting greatly increases your views & exposure for your film and career, but social sharing is not necessary to win. The jury ultimately chooses the finalists and winners of the film challenge.
