In a world...where healthcare spending is out of control, what if we could get better data, spend pennies on the dollar, and get results in a fraction of the time? I give you the Zebrafish. Yes, those little stripped minnows you can buy at any aquarium store for a few bucks. Zebrafish: Practically People is a 10-minute, groundbreaking science documentary, in which a close-knit group of scientists explain – in easy-to-understand language – how the simple Zebrafish is a largely untapped treasure trove for understanding, treating and curing human diseases, including (but not limited to): •Cancers, e.g., pancreatic, breast, leukemia and glioblastoma •Diabetes •Heart disease •Opioid addiction •Alzheimer’s disease •Autism •Rare diseases, such as Prader-Willi Syndrome How is this possible? We (the human species) and Zebrafish share 70% of the same genes. Plus, 84% of our genes known to be associated with human genetic disease have a Zebrafish counterpart. And that’s just the beginning.
