WALLY BE MY LOCKDOWN FRIEND

195 Views

Women in Film

This video competed in
Curbside Shorts Film Challenge

Director(s):

The video is the gathering of some of the most common lockdown experiences: the absence of friends, human interaction and the urgent need to connect with someone, eating snacks all day long, sitting near the front door and just watching the empty streets ahead, receiving daily Amazon deliveries, jogging once a day....every day...same routes, wearing masks and gloves, avoiding people in the streets, walking alone or in pairs when outdoors, public signage on floors reminding the distances, flying gloves on the pavement and shortage of toilet paper scare syndrome. The title and final phrase shown is meant to recall "Wally" from "Where is Wally" as to indicate that the character is everywhere, though in this case not in crowded spaces.

Written and Directed by Lara Genovese, Featuring Julia Gurry, Music Written and Performed by Belle Roscoe.

This is a two woman job, in accordance with the UK government guidelines. No other crew permitted to assist.
