Shot in three and half days on 35mm Waiting for Dawn is the story of a young soldier and his experiences in the First World War. It highlights the hardships and horrors faced by many young men who served in the Army during that time. Writer Gareth Rothwell is a sergeant who served 18 years in the British Armed Forces. Both of his great-grandfathers fought and survived the First World War.
