A woman named Veronica (Tanya Perez) realizes that the only way to become her most authentic self is to become someone else. Literally. On her journey, she seeks camaraderie in a Transgender Identity . . . group, and support from her compelling but narcissistic boss. 'Veronica' gathers up the whole thriller sub genre of films about crazy women who try to take over another woman's life and moves them to the comedy section. Powerful filmmaking! I found the piece to be brave, brilliant in its conception and execution, and is as profound as a film can be in twelve minutes. What really blew me away is that the entire film was shot in *ONE* day! "Veronica" deftly combines humor and pathos. I definitely connected with this character who is genuinely and earnestly trying to find herself - while trying to define just who that person is.
