RELEASE (2hrs:20min) is my NYU Graduate Thesis feature film. It is currently in post-production. I'm still working on length and pacing. No sound or color work has been done, yet. The logline reads, "After twenty-one years in state prison, 'Maverick' Santana comes home with an obsession that could get him killed and to a daughter he's never met." MISSING GRANDMA - This 11-minute 45-second dramatic short film, “MISSING GRANDMA,” explores the generational gap between a grandmother and a granddaughter. Mita, in her sixties and suffering from the early stages of dementia, tries to impress upon her 16-year-old granddaughter, Tammi, the need to act like a lady. After Mita finds an open box of condoms in Tammi's room, harsh words are spoken and feelings are hurt. Later as the smell of sofrito hangs in the air, Mita puts away her Rosary and gives Tammi awkward, but valuable advice on sex.
