In Utah, it's never been easy to be gay or have a drink in a bar (thanks, Mormons!) But a gay bar in Utah? This is the story of the Radio City Lounge, the oldest LGBTQ bar in the Beehive State, and possibly the oldest such establishment in the western U.S. depending on who you ask. In this current age of dating apps and out-and-proud presidential candidates, it's important to remember that gay bars like Radio City were often the only places where people in the closet could meet others like themselves, serving a vital and often life-saving function.
