"On the Brink": I started going to Ryan Heffington's "Sweaty Sundays" signature class back in 2010, and I immediately fell in love with him. OK, no. It was more than that. I was obsessed. I kept telling people about him, how amazing he was and how he was changing the contemporary dance scene and how, some day, the whole world would know his name. I was right, and I have the footage to prove it! Partly as a friend and partly as a fan, but in total filmmaker fashion, I was there to document the very day of the VMA's for which "Chandelier" was nominated in the best video and best choreography categories. Undoubtedly, both that video and that night changed the course of Ryan Heffington's career (and life) forever, but my love, admiration and respect for him as an artist, as a friend, and as a human being, have remained exactly the same. "The Blackout": As hurricane Sandy descends upon New York, leaving destruction in her wake and plunging the city into darkness, a group of friends and neighbors come together and discover the joys, heartaches, and pleasures of human connection.
