Synopsis: Based on true events, Moonshine Kingdom tells the story of an Amish man who willingly leaves the Amish community. Struggling to survive, he enlists in the armed services as a war medic. The film begins upon his arrival back home after serving his country, only to find he is rejected by the Amish community. The film quickly unravels when he is introduced by an old friend to the underground world of "shining" and the violent, racially charged feuds it engenders in the Amish foothills. Production Background: Moonshine Kingdom is the world’s first feature film available to stream in native 4K. The production shot for 18 straight days on a rural farm in Huntsburg, OH with two alternate weekends in Cleveland and a handful of pick-up days. The team used Red One and Scarlet cameras to shoot and posted the project using a combination of Adobe Creative Cloud applications and a workstation equipped with a Nvidia Quadro GPU. Thanks to the GPU, his workstation’s RAM, and Seki UHD displays, Forte edited the film in real time and full 4K resolution without the need of a RED Rocket. Director Bio: Milton M. Horowitz is a director and Screenwriter based out of Cleveland, Ohio, who founded Household Entertainment in 2005 after graduating from Cleveland State University where he minored in International Film. Prior to Moonshine Kingdom, Horowitz worked on-set for the production of The Avengers, Alex Cross, and Crime Stoppers and has additional background in advertisement production. Continuing his trend of utilizing emerging technology, Horowitz is now working on the world’s first non-linear, viewer-decided film entitled Collide of Scope. Editor Bio: Ryan Forte formed Forte Nox Productions in 2012 while studying Film & Digital Media at Cleveland State University. He specializes in post-production work including color grading and 4K editing as well as camera work/cinematography. He now is joining Horowitz on the production of Collide of Scope, working closely with investors to gain capital as well as building strategic business partnerships before filming begins.
