The documentary film "L'Africano" is a tribute to the figure of Francesco "Franco" Tiano, a pagan artist who died prematurely on April 2, 2008. Franco Tiano, in his short but intense life, has collaborated with directors such as Giuseppe Tornatore, Federico Fellini and Lina Wertmuller. He shared sets and scenes with actors such as Isa Danieli, Cristina Donadio, Peppe Barra and Lina Sastri. He recorded records, recorded songs and shared folk festivals together with musicians and scholars of the caliber of Roberto De Simone, Eugenio Bennato, Pietra Montecorvino, Teresa De Sio, Marcello Colasurdo, and many others. The goal of the feature is to tell the professional, artistic, human and spiritual life of a complex and articulated figure like that of Franco Tiano. An excursus from the 70s to the early 2000s, retracing the anthropological and ethnographic studies carried out on the world of the traditions and popular culture of Campania. We would like to thank Cristina Donadio, Peppe Barra, Eugenio Bennato, Pietra Montecorvino, Isa Danieli, Marcello Colasurdo, Teresa De Sio, Ugo Maiorano, Angelo Picone, Joe Petrosino & Rockammorra, and many other artists and friends of Franco Tiano who wanted to contribute to the project with his own memories. The documentary film is produced by the Ambress Ampress association, from an idea by Brigida Civale, Santino Desiderio, Gerardo Ferraioli and Aldo Padovano and directed by Laura Mandolesi Ferrini, journalist and director Rainews.it, who had already made docufilm on the "Madonna dele galline" ((http://www.ambressampress.com/incontri-d-autore/laura-mandollesi-ferrini). The photograph, however, is curated by Gaetano Del Mauro, who also coordinated the shots made by Emiliano Checchero, Eva Stanzione and Hélène Schelfhout. The editing is by Roberto Mencherini. Alessandro Ambro D'Aniello is the sound engineer. The re-elaboration of the music is curated by Santino Desiderio, Alessandro D'Aniello, Giuseppe Desiderio, Sharon Viola.
