Follow a couple on their first date as they discover all the unique things LA has to offer, for free. When trying to decide what to create for the On Location Project, I knew that as a Los Angeles local I wanted to show the LA that I call home. This Los Angeles is not the Los Angeles that is popular for the camera, the glitz or the glam. This Los Angeles consisted of the secret treasures that are hidden throughout the LA scene. Furthermore, as a college student, my LA has become restricted by the question "What can I afford?" While this might be a typical question coming from a college student, I thought it would be even more intriguing to show everybody -- whether a local or a tourist -- that you don't need a lot of money to enjoy the city. So I called up my friends and explained to them my idea. "A free day out and about? Of course I can help!" And so we went out to explore the FREE LA. As were were filming, I realized that this is a city I love, not because of all of its amazing attractions and landmarks but because of the way it can bring people together. Working with my mom and my friends on this project brought me so much joy, and I hope that when someone watches the film, I hope it makes them feel the same way I felt -- happy and full of love.
