Journeyus & the Journeynauts tells the story of a misguided epic hero, Journeyus, and his ragtag crew that bond as a dysfunctional family aboard their vessel, The Sea Cow. Together, they deal with unruly gods and bizarre monsters on their quests for glory in a "floating workplace" animated comedy.
Writers/producers Chris Cimino and Doug Lieblich had been developing Journeyus & the Journeynauts on paper for about a year before hooking up with director/writer/producer Donick Cary, and his animation studio, Sugarshack Animation. Upon the formation of this partnership, Chris & Doug began to turn their words and character designs into a fully-realized animated proof-of-concept short.
