Director(s):
I wrote this script because I couldn’t get the idea of letting my insecurities control who I am out of my head. The thought of tying my inner voice to my phone seemed fitting, as I let a lot of what I see online dictate how I feel about myself. During quarantine, I’ve had the unique opportunity of learning to forgive myself for what I eat and to accept and love who I am and how I look. I needed to spread this message of body positivity to others, especially during a time where everyone finds themselves stuck at home, unable to go to the gym. It was a challenge not wearing my best hair, makeup, or wardrobe for this shoot, and I’m so glad that I did it! Self-love is accepting yourself as you are, and my hope is that we can all learn to be kinder to ourselves during this pandemic. Additionally, I wrote and am singing my song in the end, “It Don’t Matter.”

Thank you to everyone who has voted for my film. I never imagined I'd get over 900 votes in this competition and that I'd come so close to making the top ten! THANK YOU for helping me continue to spread body positivity and for supporting female and non-binary filmmakers.

This is such an important message! Daily I’m reminded that the world wants me to be a certain way...a way that I’m not. So glad we have women out here creating content about our experiences
