"For Colored Boys" is absolutely "riveting". It is a thoughtful approach to the stressful effects of single parenthood on a mother, offspring, and the community that they are members of. It is a superb story of the power fo redemption, and the healing effects that forgiveness and reconciliation can have on family ... anyone's family ... in any culture. This series is BRILLIANT, because it speaks to foilables, and setbacks that can happen in any community. But more importantly ... it is brilliant because Stacey Muhammad's characters do such a wonderful job of showing what is possible, when family LOVE, personal initiative, and community suport come together to redeem, heal, and uplift. There is NO QUESTION that "For Colored Boys" should be the #1 choice for the Audience Awards.
