2022 Earth Day Film Challenge

I filmed this plastic dance on a festival ground in Amager, Copenhagen. The movement in the plastic caused by the wind represents an anthropocene marker with the global impact of plastic on the environment. The wind's interaction with man-made materials instead of natural materials or elements such as water, trees, dirt or plants produce new constellations in a dance like rhythm. In the interaction between the man-made and natural - the plastic and the wind - we are reminded of the long lasting impact that man-made and non-biodegradable materials have on the climate and the Earth as a whole. The film is made in Splice on an iPhone, and the audio is from the Splice music library.
