On November 8, 2013 super typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda) hit the Indigenous People of Palawan fully unprepared and left behind widespread devastation in the remote communities. Local government and media sadly neglected the Tagbanua tribe. Private donors and supporters stepped forward and helped the Indigenous People get back on track and become stronger in the future, respecting their culture and traditions.
