About Justin Ervin

JUSTIN ERVIN: DIRECTOR/CINEMATOGRAPHER Justin graduated Magna Cum Laude from undergraduate studies in the area of Time-based Media/Video production. He completed his first documentary in Florence, Italy: “As In A Mirror,” a documentary chronicling Senegalese merchants living abroad in Florence, Italy. His first feature-length documentary film, “Elephant in the Room” was official selection at San Diego Black Film Festival, Vail Film Festival and Garden State Film Festival, where it won Best Documentary Short in April of 2013. His follow up film, a narrative short entitled, “Six Months Later” was screened in over 7 notable film festivals in 2014 and his most recent film, “LEAP” was screened at both New Filmmakers NY and New Filmmaker LA. Justin graduated with a MFA degree in Social Documentary Filmmaking from School of Visual Arts in NYC in 2012 and recently completed a Master Class at the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers in Los Angeles. In 2013 Justin incorporated ELEMENT FILMS INC., a company of his own, dedicated to excellence in digital motion picture imaging. He has shot videos and campaigns for a variety of clients including: Vogue, Conde Nast, Adobe, Guess, CNN, The Gap Inc., Swim Suits for All, Staples and Aspire TV.
